I am looking for any information on Wright ROBBINS born abt. 1829 where unknown. His fathers name was Ezekiel ROBBINS and mother was Nancy. Wright had at least one brother by the name of Rankin ROBBINS married Emma? who was born in England, they had Ann, John, Adelbert, Lincoln, George and Hannah. He also had a sister Nancy ROBBINS who married a John C. SARGENT, they had Charles, Effie, Elton and Simeon? He also had a brother named John ROBBINS. Wright ROBBINS married a Phebe I. SARGENT and they had Charles, Ammanda, Margaret E., Stephen M. and Leonora. Wright and Phebe lived in Henderson County as late as 1875 but moved to Knox County when is not known. They may have moved there due to a possible relationship between a Matilda ROBBINS and Elisha WATSON. Wright and Phebe's daughter Leonora was in Adams County, Iowa by 1895 because that is where she married Edward "Eddie" Taylor Daggett. (6-98)

James dau Lucretia m. John Wertz of Galesburg, IL. Sons Robert, William and Orville all moved to IL. James and John were sons of Hugh McKinty and Jane (Jenny) Glass. James m. Dorcas Smith Whiteman, dau of George Clark Whiteman and Mary Spahr on May 14 1857. James spent his life in Jay Co, near Redkey, IN. The McKinty name can be traced back to the 9th Century. It is derived from "Mac ant Saoi" which means "son of a scholar". It was anglecised as Mac Entee, McIntee and McKinty. I am in contact with Jim McKinty in Larne, Co Antrim, N. Ireland. Looking for information on Charles A. Whipple. He was born in Clinton NY, in 1854. Moved to Knox Co. when 2 years old according to obit, married Ms Alice Flansburg in 1876, and they had children Walter born 1877, Daisy born 1879, Leonard born 1882/83, Arthur born 1886, John and Otho. His parents were Russell William Whipple and Mary Allen Whipple. They moved to Knox Co according to obit in 1854 and remained there indefinitely/unknown. Probably still there when Charles got married in 1854. Charles had a sister named Lillie York or Medford Oregon at the time of his death in 1837, may have had more brothers and sisters that didn't survive him. (8-98)

Robert R. SHIELDS was born 1852 in Jackson County, Alabama and died in 1940 at Galesburg, Illinois. He moved to Fulton County, Illinois during the Civil War with his father, Jacob Edwards SHIELDS. Robert married Sarah LEIGH in 1875 and they had Carl, Fred and May SHIELDS. May, who died in 1948, married Carl RALSTIN, and they had two daughters. I have much information on the SHIELDS family and would be happy to share with anyone who can help me with descendants of Robert R. SHIELDS and Sarah LEIGH. (8-98)
