John Carothers (1794) is my 3rd g-grandfather. In 1814, he married Anna Mason. With her, they had 13 children, all in Wayne County, New York. According to obituary for son Charles, in 1838, the family moved to Crawford County, Pennsylvania, then in 1841, moved to Knox County, Illinois. Anna died around 1843, and John married Eliza Ouderkirk Miller in 1849. He died in 1864 and is buried in Elmwood, Peoria County, Illinois.
